HUNTING & WILDLIFE

Caught up in the hustle and bustle of city life? Are you yearning for fresh air, open land and wild life? Then you need to make your way to Allen Parish where Dry Creek Ranch and West Bay Wildlife Management Area Game Reserve are located.

Dry Creek Ranch Hunting

Dry Creek Ranch has 1500 acres open to hunting. These acres are covered in pine and hardwood trees and many varieties of planted cover crops. Josh Sills and his staff are experienced in helping you have a very successful hunt. Dry Creek Ranch specializes in duck and quail hunts, but there are many different types of hunts available at the ranch, which can be customized to fit your needs.

All hunts include cleaning and packaging, skeet shooting and meals while you are here. Guides and dogs are always available to make your hunt a memorable experience. If you plan to spend a day or two, Dry Creek Ranch presently can accommodate 16 people for over night stays. There are three new cabins and two private bedrooms located on the property. All linens and towels are furnished.

While you are waiting for your made to order hunt, a ten station sporting clay course, set up in and around the hardwood grove is available to you. It is the newest summer event at Dry Creek Ranch.

WESTBAY WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA

West Bay Wildlife Management Area is located right in the middle of the northern part of Allen Parish.  This 58,212 acre game reserve is an ideal place for hunting deer, small game, fowl and turkey, which roam freely over one of the most beautiful scenic areas in Allen Parish.  It is also a prime spot for bird watching and camping.
