The Allen Parish Tourist Commission welcomes you to Allen Parish, the "Gateway" to Cajun Country. We are located in southwest Louisiana and we are the home of the Coushatta Indian Tribe known as the "Red Shoes People". If you love the outdoor life, we have hunting at West Bay Game Reserve and also at Dry Creek Ranch, fishing on the Calcasieu River, Ouiska Chitto and other creeks and rivers, Trotting-bred racing, canoeing on the most peaceful rivers with beautiful white sandy beaches you will ever see anywhere, and great sporting events. We have the largest land-based casino resort in Louisiana. The Coushatta Casino Resort has over 3,000 slots and 80 gaming tables. For those of you looking for other things we have flea markets, shopping, museums, and some of the best Cajun food anywhere.
